What reviewers say

Reviewers agree it is an exceptionally light, bouncy and fast racing shoe, lighter and springier than the Metaspeed Sky Paris, with enough cushioning for a marathon. The common criticism is an unstable heel; RunRepeat also noted a narrow toe box and a higher price, and Tom's Guide found the outsole not very durable.

  • Very light, 159 g for a men's US 9 in Running Warehouse's measurement
  • FF LEAP foam, which ASICS calls its lightest and bounciest
  • Plate shaped for runners who speed up by lengthening their stride

Cons

  • Tuned for stride-style runners; ASICS points cadence-style runners to the METASPEED EDGE TOKYO
  • Racing shoe with less outsole rubber than a daily trainer
