What Hi-Fi? and AVForums praise the 55-inch ES8000's detailed picture, slim design, useful Smart Hub and improved 3D. AVForums finds some clouding in dark scenes and poor off-axis viewing, while What Hi-Fi? is more enthusiastic about the picture overall. Both find the new gesture controls less useful than the traditional remote.
