What reviewers say
Both reviews praise the rounded design and smooth performance, while noting awkward Fitbit integration and daily charging. TechRadar found it a useful, feature-rich smartwatch, despite a sensor bump that disturbed sleep and fiddly band changes. Ars Technica was much less positive about value, criticising the ageing processor, limited app ecosystem and expensive proprietary bands. Ars also wanted a larger case option.

- 294 mAh typical rechargeable lithium-ion battery; up to 24 hours. Google's launch claim is not a promise of 24 hours with always-on display enabled.

- USB-C magnetic charging cable; current maker specifications give about 45 minutes to 50%, 75 minutes to 80% and 110 minutes to full. The original announcement claimed 50% in 30 minutes under its pre-production test conditions; figures differ.
