The original Mac Studio is a compact workstation with M1 Max or M1 Ultra, front-access USB-C and SD ports, 10 Gb Ethernet and support for five displays.
Both reviews praise the compact design, quiet fans, plentiful ports and strong performance for creative work. Macworld criticises the lack of user memory and storage upgrades and the HDMI limit. Tom's Guide finds the Ultra configuration expensive and less suitable for gaming than a Windows PC.
