What reviewers say

Both find strong central sharpness at f/1.4, improved performance across the frame when stopped down and solid construction. Autofocus findings differ. ePHOTOzine describes fast focusing on the D700 but occasional misses at f/1.4; Cameralabs finds repeatable but relatively slow focusing on the D810 and some play in the manual ring. Both report wide-open corner shading. Cameralabs additionally identifies corner coma, longitudinal colour fringing and flare under demanding lighting, while ePHOTOzine finds lateral fringing well controlled.
