What reviewers say

Mobile-review and NieuweMobiel praise the clearer screen and revised keypad, while disagreeing on battery life. NieuweMobiel finds endurance good; Mobile-review reports shorter life than the 3650 and poor initial value. NieuweMobiel likes still photographs but criticises video quality and the inconvenient memory-card position. AccessWorld's test with separately installed TALKS software finds useful speech access, but difficult tactile keypad orientation and small text. TALKS was an additional application, rather than a built-in screen reader.

Release detail
Announced 9 October 2003, with Nokia planning shipments during Q4 2003. NieuweMobiel's 8 May 2004 full review explicitly confirms it had been on the market since late 2003; year precision retained because the exact first on-sale month was not recovered. Nokia's announcement names the 3650 as the preceding successful imaging phone and describes the new models as successors to that predecessor. Archived maker support is exact 3660 and offers original Windows 98 SE/ME/2000 SP2/XP PC Suite information; current software download availability is unresolved.
In the box
Nokia's launch specifies a supplied 16 MB memory card with additional applications. NieuweMobiel's tested package also includes an 850 mAh battery, charger, Dutch and French guides and quick guides, and a PC Suite CD; those contents describe that review's regional package rather than every market.

Performance

Memory
Forum Nokia's visible table rounds maximum user storage to 3 MB; its inline exact-model data records 3,400,000 bytes of shared memory. Mobile-review's specification lists 4 MB total and 3.4 MB user space, while its review approximates user space as 3.5 MB. These are shared application and content storage, not a published RAM capacity. No rounded capacity assigned to a structured configuration.
Storage type
MMC memory-card expansion; Nokia's launch includes a 16 MB memory card with additional applications. The original guide requires removing the battery to insert the card. No maximum card capacity inferred from later phones or secondary SD-card claims.

Connectivity

SIM
Removable SIM card beneath the rear cover and battery, original English guide. No dual-SIM configuration established.
Bluetooth
Bluetooth 1.1, original English guide. Image, video, contact, calendar and other data transfer, and compatible-PC connections. Exact model PC Suite support requires Bluetooth Serial Port Profile or infrared; no modern Bluetooth audio profile inferred.
USB
No physical data-cable connection according to NieuweMobiel's exact-model test. Original guide and exact Nokia PC Suite support describe infrared or Bluetooth PC transfer instead.
