What reviewers say

Reviewers agree the third-generation X1 is one of the most spacious and practical premium small SUVs, with a well-finished interior and a wide choice of engines. The common criticisms are a firm ride on poor roads, climate and infotainment controls moved into the touchscreen and high prices once optioned; Autocar also found the gearbox clunky and the steering woolly.
