Engine or motorsDual-motor all-wheel drive or Plaid with three motors and carbon-sleeved rotors. Current UK maker peak claims are 670 hp and 1,020 hp, based on acceleration testing, simulation and battery limits.Dual-motor all-wheel drive. US Premium AWD: Tesla publishes 4.4 seconds 0–60 mph, which is not a 0–62 mph figure.
DriveThe 2025 physical refresh adds revised and retuned air suspension, new comfort components, greater noise isolation and sound-absorbing interior materials. New 20- and 22-inch wheel designs and low-resistance tyres improve efficiency.Dual-motor all-wheel drive. Second-row captain's chairs and two third-row seats form a 2–2–2 seating layout.
Range and charging
Zero-emission range (WLTP)–423 miles
Fastest charging250 kW250 kW
Range detailUK maker page estimates 403 miles for Dual Motor and 378 miles for Plaid without explicitly labelling these configuration figures WLTP. Main WLTP range is therefore omitted; US EPA estimates and review highway tests use different conditions. Current US maker EPA estimates: 352 miles Dual Motor and 335 miles Plaid; these are separate regional ratings, not WLTP.Australian Premium AWD is rated at 681 km WLTP (423 miles). Tesla China's current October 2026 specification states 776 km CLTC; the original 2025 launch version was rated at 751 km CLTC. CLTC figures are not placed in the WLTP comparison row. Tesla's September 2025 first-delivery announcement is reported directly by CnEVPost; Australian sales followed in March 2026. Regional 0–100 km/h claims are 5.0 seconds in Australia and 4.5 seconds in China. United States: 332 miles EPA estimated, which is not a WLTP result and is therefore omitted from the structured range field.
ChargingMaximum 250 kW Supercharging; actual charging rate depends on battery temperature, state of charge and charger.Up to 250 kW DC Supercharging. Tesla's current Chinese page confirms external power with the Tesla Outlet Adapter; the Australian page also lists this feature. Tesla does not publish usable battery capacity on these product pages.
EfficiencyCurrent UK product page: 18.3 kWh/100 km Dual Motor; 19.3 kWh/100 km Plaid. German maker labels distinguish these current values from the older 2022–2025 versions at 19.1/20.8.–
CO2 emissions0 g/km tailpipe CO₂; UK maker page lists CO₂ efficiency class A.–

BootCurrent US manual: five-seat rear boot 1,111 litres; six- and seven-seat layouts 420 litres behind the occupied third row. All have an additional 183-litre front trunk. With third row folded: six-seat 996 litres; seven-seat 1,018 litres. Six-seat second row moves to maximum cargo position rather than folding flat. Its 2,675-litre maximum includes the front trunk, third row folded and second row moved forward, with only driver and front passenger; it is not Plaid boot space with six occupants.420 litres behind the third row with all six seats up; 1,076 litres with the third row folded; 2,423 litres with both rear rows folded. Separate front boot is 116 litres. The advertised 2,539-litre maximum includes the front boot; total with all six passengers is 536 litres (Tesla owner's manual).
TowingUK maker claims 2,300 kg Dual Motor and 2,250 kg Plaid.–
SizeCurrent US manual: 2,271 mm wide with mirrors, 2,965 mm wheelbase; height 1,680 mm at medium suspension or 1,720 mm at highest setting. Current UK curb mass: 2,348 kg Dual Motor and 2,470 kg Plaid. Main acceleration uses German maker 0–100 km/h figures; Plaid’s 2.6 seconds subtracts rollout. The refresh also increases third-row shoulder room. The current US maker dual-motor top speed is 155 mph, differing from the UK 149 mph specification.Australian product page lists 4,969 mm length, 1,668 mm height and 2,088 kg weight; Chinese page lists 4,976 mm length, 1,668 mm height and the same weight. Width excluding mirrors is 1,920 mm; folded mirrors 1,982 mm; extended mirrors 2,129 mm; wheelbase 3,040 mm (Tesla manual). Product pages give 169 mm ground clearance; the Hong Kong manual gives 166 mm unladen and 118 mm laden and a different 1,664 mm height. Values vary by region/configuration. Standard 19-inch wheels; continuous variable damping adjusts suspension to road conditions. US maker specifications use 195.6 inches length, 65.7 inches height and 4,612 lb curb mass; these regional figures are not substituted into the metric Australian headline.
Release and generation detailsThe physical refresh was announced in Tesla’s US article on 12 June 2025 and described in a regional article dated 27 October 2025. Neither publication establishes an exact first customer-delivery date, so year precision is retained. This entry covers the refreshed hardware and current regional configurations; its 2026 model-year naming does not mean a separate generation. Tesla’s Q2 2026 investor report states the Model S and Model X production lines were decommissioned; remaining stock is distinct from ongoing manufacture. The current US maker page also states Model X is no longer in production; remaining pre-owned inventory may still be available.–
Tech and safety
InfotainmentCurrent UK page lists 17.4-inch front and 9.4-inch rear touchscreens plus driver instrument display; 22-speaker/960 W audio, dynamic ambient lighting, heated seats, front-seat ventilation, three-zone climate control and HEPA filtration. Display sizes describe current specifications, not asserted initial June equipment.16-inch centre touchscreen and 8-inch second-row touchscreen; 19-speaker Tesla Audio. Second-row seats have heating, ventilation, powered armrests and electric folding; third-row seats have heating and electric folding, with separate air vents. No Apple CarPlay or Android Auto (Carsales).
Driver assistanceThe refresh adds a front fascia camera, blind-spot indicator and adaptive headlights. Tesla Vision provides camera-based driving and parking assistance. Full Self-Driving (Supervised) requires active supervision and depends on regional availability; it is not autonomous driving.Forward Collision Warning, Automatic Emergency Braking and Lane Departure Avoidance are standard. Optional Full Self-Driving (Supervised) requires active driver supervision and does not make the car autonomous; availability depends on region.
WarrantyUK: basic vehicle 4 years/50,000 miles; battery and drive unit 8 years/150,000 miles, whichever comes first.Australian new-vehicle warranty is five years with unlimited kilometres, subject to terms, for vehicles delivered from 1 January 2026; battery and drive unit eight years or 192,000 km. China lists four years or 80,000 km for the vehicle and eight years or 192,000 km for the battery and drive unit.
